ABOUT COACH PEDRO BACA
If you are interested in becoming a champion boxer or simply looking to get in shape, Coach Pedro Baca is the trainer for you. Baca has been involved in the sport for over 40 years. For the last 16 years, Baca has been coaching & training professional and amateur boxers at the local, regional, and national USA Boxing levels. He trained and worked with fighters from two Olympic Training Centers, Squaw Valley, California, and Colorado Springs. Baca trained alongside and helped prepare world champion fighters Wilfredo Gomez of San Juan, Puerto Rico and Azuma Nelson of Ghana, Africa for "winning" world title bouts. In addition, Baca studied nutrition and group training at the University of New Mexico.

Before becoming an accomplished coach, Baca started his career as an amateur boxer under world renowned coach, Bobby Lewis. For those new to boxing, Bobby Lewis is best known for training former world heavyweight champion and Olympic gold medalist George Foreman, former World Champion "Lightning" Lonnie Smith Sr., and heavyweight contenders and champions like Ron Lyle & Michael Dokes, among others. Bobby Lewis was once quoted in an interview saying, "Baca does things even pros can't do. He knows the ring like most people know the back of their hand." Sufficed to say, Baca learned from the best.

Baca's accomplishments as a boxer include Colorado State Amateur Boxing Champion 6 years in a row, Southwest Regional Boxing Champion 4 years in a row, and he ranked 3rd in the nation from 1981 to 1982.
